I will be the first to admit that I didn't pay attention in school, thinking I could daydream and elbow grease my way through a good plot, and ultimately a good book. After re-reading some of my writing, and getting some brutal, but useful help from friends, I've come to discover one important fact: I need help. I've been searching through blogs and have come up with a list of sources that are useful in the beginnings of writings. I had never even heard of a B Plot before!

I particularly found the last link the most useful. If you're like me, you've made your protagonist perfect, beautiful, and quite boring. I used the list in the article to 'sympathize' a character that I had imagined before (who was quite boring). I am happy to say that the process is coming along quite well!
I will be doing more research (<--scary word!) on fiction writing, so expect this list to get much longer.
